Dryer Vent Maintenance in Jacksonville, FL
Call (904) 720-8269
Why does the dryer take three cycles in August?
Usually the duct, not the dryer. Jacksonville summer air is already saturated. A dryer pushing moist air into a restricted run cannot dump that moisture. Lint then packs wet against the duct wall instead of blowing clear. Long roof runs on second-floor laundry rooms do this worst. The caked layer is not fluffy. It is damp felt, and a leaf blower will not move it.
Run type decides the method. A short block-wall garage run with a 90 at the dryer clears from both ends with a rotating brush. Interior laundry closets that turn up into a soffit or chase need the transition pulled and the elbow checked by hand. Second-floor runs to roof jacks get worked from the roof down. Stacked condo units sharing a vertical chase are a different animal, and often involve the association.
Check the termination yourself. At the beaches, salt air rusts exterior hoods and jams flappers open. Wasps and birds nest roof-cap screens shut. Spring pollen binds lint into mats that no longer shed.
Short straight single-story runs generally go 18–24 months. Long roof-vented upstairs runs need it annually. So do interior closets and heavy laundry households. Crushed flex behind a pedestal washer should be replaced, not cleaned.
What happens after you call us
- 1
Call and tell us your dryer brand and where the vent exits, wall or roof. We give you a two hour arrival window and text when we are on the way.
- 2
We walk the run at your address, check the length and the termination, then quote one firm price before a single tool comes off the truck. The estimate is free.
- 3
We pull the wet packed lint, run a full heat cycle to confirm the airflow, vacuum the laundry room floor, and you pay the number we quoted.
