Roof Dryer Vent Cleaning in Jacksonville, FL

Why does a roof-vented dryer clog faster than a wall vent?
Gravity and moisture. Warm, wet air rises up the vertical run and cools near the roof deck. Lint stops being fluffy and packs wet to the duct wall. What does not stick slides back down toward the dryer. Second-floor laundry rooms here almost always vent to a roof jack, so the blower pushes lint up a long rise every load.
The cap matters as much as the duct. Roof caps come screened from the factory on some models, and a screen is the wrong part for a dryer. Wasps build inside the hood. Birds nest under a stuck flapper. A screened or nested cap gets replaced, not just brushed out.
Access decides the method. Pitch, height and shingle condition get looked at first. Steep or wet roofs are not worth a fall, and a lot of these runs clean fine from the laundry side instead.
Local wrinkles are real. Salt air at the beaches rusts and jams exterior hoods open. Spring pollen binds lint into mats. In July and August, a restricted roof run turns one load into two or three cycles.
Long roof-vented upstairs runs want attention yearly. Short single-story runs stretch to 18-24 months.
What happens after you call us
- 1
Call and tell us your dryer brand and where the vent exits, wall or roof. We give you a two hour arrival window and text when we are on the way.
- 2
We walk the run at your address, check the length and the termination, then quote one firm price before a single tool comes off the truck. The estimate is free.
- 3
We pull the wet packed lint, run a full heat cycle to confirm the airflow, vacuum the laundry room floor, and you pay the number we quoted.
